I Opened for Pulp at the Tabernacle!

I just opened for Brit-pop band Pulp at The Tabernacle in Atlanta on Thursday, Sept. 4! It was the first show on Pulp's 2025 North American tour in support of their new album "More." I was beyond excited to get this opportunity! You might be wondering how I got on this show.

On Tuesday, Sept. 2nd, I was playing a solo acoustic show at Fat Matt's Rib Shack in Atlanta. I was doing a mix of covers and originals as usual for the patrons. After playing for maybe 15 minutes, Pulp walks in to have dinner. I had no idea that I was playing for a huge rock band! I really liked them and was having a good time playing for them. They were enjoying what I was doing and were applauding and dancing in their seats at times. I just thought I was playing for some really cool people who I happened to get along with well.

After playing for them for maybe an hour, their tour manager, Liam, came onstage and told me that they were in a band called Pulp and that they were on a North American tour. He asked me if I wanted to open for them at the Tabernacle on Thursday night. I was blown away with excitement! I, obviously, said "Yes!" and he got my number and told me that he'd call me the next day with the details.

It's wild how drastically things can change in life at a moment's notice. One minute I'm just doing my thing, playing at a local restaurant, and the next I'm opening for an internationally famous band! I immensely enjoyed playing a 30-minute set at the Tabernacle and hanging out with Pulp and their friends. I am still processing what just happened!

I have posted pics and videos on my social media sites like Youtube, Instagram, Tiktok, and Facebook. I will continue to post more videos and pics in the next few days and weeks to come, so stay tuned!
